Ocean bottom seismic
Seabed acquisition is a growing industrial area of the seismic market. Ocean bottom seismic is a marine seismic acquisition approach in the latest period. In an ocean, bottom acquisition ocean bottom cables or nodes are the receivers. Cables are usually positioned in the receiver boat and nodes are completely positioned on the ocean bottom. Compared to the conventional acquisition method ocean bottom acquisition has many benefits. Conventional steamer acquisition with hydrophone only records the pressure wave field but ocean bottom acquisition with geophone can record elastic wave field. Ocean bottom acquisition is clearer than surface acquisition.
